Through our Supplier Diversity/Small Business Program, we reach out to diverse communities of suppliers and seek competitive businesses who can partner with us.
Chevron values the uniqueness of individuals and the varied perspectives they provide. Equally important is a diverse base of suppliers, and we have significant achievements in this area. Our program has received outstanding ratings from the Department of Defense and the Small Business Administration. We have also been honored with Corporation of the Year Awards from prominent minority business groups.
I am very pleased with the continuing success of our program, which is an integral part of our Procurement and Corporation business plans. Our supplier diversity initiative is one of the building blocks that helps support Chevron's overall success as a business enterprise.
