ParaLux paraffinic process oils are produced from Chevron's patented all-hydroprocessing system that gives them a low aromatic content, better color and UV stability, as well as helping to promote resistance to degradation from ultraviolet discoloration. It also has lower volatility, which helps result in fewer emissions.

Chevron has a crude-refining capacity of approximately 932,000 barrels per day. Refineries are in Richmond and El Segundo, California; Kapolei, Hawaii; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Pascagoula, Mississippi.
