Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®

Chevron's support of the Susan G. Komen Foundation started in the early 1990's as a major sponsor of the Race for the Cure® 5K run/fitness walk series. The Komen Foundation, with affiliates throughout the United States, Italy and Germany, raises money for the fight to help eradicate breast cancer.

The Komen Race for the Cure series, which includes more than 100 runs throughout the U.S. and more than 1 million participants, is committed to raising awareness and educating the public about early detection.

Each year, thousands of Chevron employees participate in Race for the Cure events, and in some markets, additional funds are raised through pledges and the use of donation cards at Chevron stations.
