Highlights of Operations
Chevron is pursuing opportunities in India across the energy spectrum, investing in refining and serving consumers with world-class products ranging from lubricants to liquefied petroleum gas. Chevron has technical and marketing relationships in aviation services, marine fuels and licensing of refining technology. Chevron also takes an active role in the community.
Chevron's commitment to India began in the 1930s and continues today. We hold a 5 percent stake in Reliance Petroleum Ltd., which is building a new refinery in Jamnagar.
Under the brand names Chevron and Caltex, we are involved in numerous downstream businesses:
- Lubricant blending and marketing
- Market lubricant additives
- Liquefied petroleum gas importing, bottling and marketing
- Licensing Chevron technology to refineries
We employ approximately 320 people in India, primarily in the cities of Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai.
Chevron has an executive business development office in New Delhi with a dedicated team pursuing a wide range of opportunities. We are also evaluating opportunities for investment in India's exploration and production sector.
