Production activities are focused on three natural gas fields — one offshore and two onshore. Chevron plays an integral role in meeting Colombia's energy needs, producing enough natural gas to meet approximately 60 percent of the nation's domestic demand.
Chevron began marketing products in Barranquilla in the 1930s. The company now ranks among Colombia's leading suppliers of fuel and lubricants. The company owns and operates a nationwide network of Texaco-branded service stations. Chevron is a leader in Colombia's aviation sector.
